Canine Atopic Dermatitis

Here at DermVet one area we focus our treatment on is for canine atopic dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis is a skin disease that can be found in both dogs and cats. It is an allergic reaction which is caused from percutanoeus absorption of environmental particles such as house dust mite particles, pollens and moulds or proteins ingested and passing through the gut wall. This reaction can cause your dog to excessively rub, scratch and lick their fur and can also cause skin condition appearance to change.

We are here to quickly identify if your dog has atopic dermatitis and if that’s the case, we can start the correct treatment plan to help get your dog back to their normal ways as soon as possible. It’s important to try and identify what has caused the allergic reaction so necessary avoidance steps can be implanted in the future.

If you would like to arrange an initial consultation with us for your dog, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can call us on 0116 326 0402 and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
